Meta-analysis on PET plastic as concrete aggregate using response surface methodology and regression analysis

Abstract This paper aims to thoroughly analyze the effect of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic aggregate on concrete compressive strength using a meta-analysis. Forty-three datasets for containing PET coarse and 60 data sets fine were collected. The input variables used percentage nominal maximum size along with mix proportions. Main plots, contour surface plots expressions presented demostrate 28-day concrete. statistical parameters regression equations, such as R 2 , adjusted root-mean-square error (RMSE), indicated that RSM approach is powerful tool describe change by addition. In addition, study showed replacement performed better than it in At up 30% replacement, can have satisfactory strength.
